Hailey Benedict

Hailed as “the future star of country music” by Citytv and praised as a “prodigy whose star is definitely on the rise” by the Calgary Herald, the guitar-wielding Hailey Benedict has defied gravity, climbing the ranks from a dream-filled emerging artist to signing an international record deal with Big Loud Records in just a few years.

Hailey drew international attention at age 14 in 2015 when Keith Urban pulled her on stage for an impromptu performance in front of a sold-out arena, instantly catapulting her into the spotlight.

2023 was a monumental year for Hailey, topped off with being crowned the winner of the SiriusXM Top of the Country competition during the CCMA Awards weekend. Throughout the year, Hailey continued to soar to remarkable new heights in her musical journey – including a coveted slot at CMA Fest in Nashville, appearances at major events including Montreal's Lasso Festival and JUNOfest, her third CCMA Award nomination, the release of her captivating and acclaimed single Damn You July, national media appearances on CTV's Etalk and YTV, tours supporting the likes of Aaron Goodvin and Tim Hicks, and co-hosting the Country Music Alberta Awards, where she also took home three awards of her own. She ended the year releasing her first holiday song, Freeze, which reached No. 4 on the Overall Holiday Chart.

In 2024, she fulfilled a lifelong dream by performing on the main stage at Big Valley Jamboree, her hometown festival where she has been a lifelong attendee. Having previously won a CCMA Award for Interactive Artist of the Year – thanks in part to her quarter-million-strong following on TikTok - she picked up another nomination at last year’s awards in the Breakthrough Artist category and presented an award on the nationally-televised broadcast. Hailey also earned three awards at last year’s Country Music Alberta Awards for Horizon Female Artist of the Year, Horizon Single of the Year, and Interactive Artist of the Year – cementing her as one of Alberta's most celebrated emerging artists with a career total of 10 award wins.

Hailey introduced her next chapter with the heartfelt single “Things My Mama Says,” her first release since signing her record and publishing deals with Big Loud/Local Hay. The song spent 6 weeks in the Top 10 at Canadian Country Radio, and was the most played country song by a Canadian artist for five straight weeks – and is just a glimpse into the authenticity and artistry that define her journey ahead.
