Jerry Foster is perhaps best known as one-half of the infamous songwriting team of Foster & Rice, the most awarded songwriting team in the history of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers).

Highlights of Foster and Rice’s award-winning catalog include Charley Pride’s “The Day the World Stood Still” and “The Easy Part’s Over,” Johnny Paycheck’s “Someone to Give My Love To,” Conway Twitty’s “Ain’t She Somethin’ Else,” and Jerry Lee Lewis’s “Would You Take Another Chance on Me,” “Think About It Darlin’,” and “Thirty Nine and Holding,” among others.
