Julia Morey
Julia Morey is a multi-genre songwriter with roots in small-town Ohio and a sound that aims to reach far beyond it. Before moving to Nashville, she gained local recognition winning Cleveland's Got Talent, placing first not only in the vocalist category, but overall. Shortly after, she followed the pull of Music City to study songwriting at Belmont University. Julia’s songwriting earned recognition from the GRAMMY U Showcase, Belmont’s Writers Showcase presented by Sony Music Publishing, and the American Songwriter Lyric Contest, among others; affirming her ambition for crafting stories through song. She opened for Clark Beckham on his Light Year Tour - an experience that cemented her love for the stage and the electricity of live performance. Now, Julia writes across genres, including country, pop, funk, and wherever melody leads - collaborating with emerging artists such as Amber Marie, Alex Lomartire, JD Wise, Gert Arwood, and more - while preparing to release her own music later this year. With a storyteller’s heart and a performer’s spark, she creates songs that feel both personal and universal - equal parts grit, groove, and grace.
