Krystal King is your “next door redneck,” bringing you relatable country songwriting with vivid and humorous imagery. Like her alter ego, Loretta Lynn, she's not afraid to say what she is thinking, whether that's diving into heartfelt emotions or picking on her husband in songs like "You're the Reason That I Drink."
Originally from Hickory, NC, King is now based in Nashville and tours nationally. She has played iconic stages such as the Listening Room Cafe and Tootsies Orchid Lounge in Nashville as well as festivals with headliners including Walker Hayes, Craig Morgan, Kristian Bush, and Beth Neilson Chapman (Faith Hill’s “This Kiss”). Recently Krystal played the VIP Lounge for the Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville before the Lainey Wilson concert (2024) and Whiskey Myers concert (2025).
Krystal released her debut album “Pretty Poison” in March 2025 featuring 7 original songs. These songs and videos have been featured on iHeart’s 96.9 The Kat, CountryLine TV, and the Heartland Network. Krystal also has had success as a songwriter with cuts from artists Thomas Kavanagh, Kirstie Kraus, Laura Rabell, Taylor Hughes, Allison Asarch, and Zach McCabe. "Who Am I Gonna Love" and “Mixtape” by UK artist Thomas Kavanagh, has been featured on The Ty Bentli show, BBC Radio, and played during the C2C Festival. Taylor Hughes’ “Jesus & Jail” won Song of the Year in Lexington, KY. In addition, Krystal was the 2018 winner of the Hickory Oktoberfest Songwriting Competition & 2019 Old School Songwriting Contest.
Krystal took home 3 Josie Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry in 2025 including Female Artist of the Year for Country Rock/Southern Rock, Music Video of the Year for “Mind Your Own Backyard,” & Best Actress in a Music Video.
When she is not performing, Krystal is a weekend DJ on Radio Margaritaville on SiriusXM every Thursday, Saturday, & Sunday 10 AM–3 PM ET.
