Steeped in the tradition of country and folk music, Stefanie Joyce's songs take an unapologetic, hard look at the grit of life, blending keen lyrical observation with her signature tongue-in-cheek humor. From sin to sadness to small-town hypocrisy, she is unafraid to sing about uncomfortable truths, much like her icons Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, John Prine, and Evan Felkner (Turnpike Troubadours).
Stefanie grew up in the Pacific Northwest and moved to Nashville in 2017. After four years of penning songs for other artists (such as Mary-Heather Hickman's viral hits "Baptist Parking Lot" and "Treasure"), she released her debut EP Marlboro Reds & Motel Rooms in 2022. Idle Hands, the lead single, went viral on TikTok and amassed six-figure streaming numbers as well as coverage in MusicRow Magazine, Saving Country Music, and Wide Open Country.
Stefanie regularly tours the country with her band, as well as having regular Nashville appearances at The Bluebird Cafe, The Listening Room, The Underdog, and Dee's.
Recently, Stefanie released "Resurrection Day," a self-inflicted twist on the classic murder-ballad trope. It has amassed over a million spins on TikTok and social media platforms, and has been included in editorial playlists such as Spotify Renegades.
