Trey Calloway
Nashville-based Trey Calloway grew up singing gospel music in North Carolina and was a seasoned performer by the age of 10. As a teen, he developed a deep understanding and passion for the rocking, boot-stomping storytelling of country music and has been writing and performing country music ever since. Trey’s music draws on the traditional sounds of the ‘90s while showcasing a modern edge that’s helped him carve his own path in country music. Trey and his music have been recognized as the Texas Country Music Association Songwriter of the Year and Runner Up Christian Country Songwriter; Carolina Country Music Association Song and Gospel Song of the Year; Josie Music Awards Song of the Year; Nashville Songwriters Association International “One to Watch”; and most recently the Inspirational Country Music Association’s Sound of Small Town America, securing Trey a spot to play the finale at the Grand Ole Opry in 2026. Trey has released over 40 original songs available on all music platforms, which have been picked up by Spotify editorial playlists garnering almost 3 million Spotify streams and featured on WSM radio, CMT, RFD-TV and The Country Network. Trey enjoys performing as much as songwriting, and has opened shows for Joe Diffie, Tracy Lawrence, McBride & The Ride, Pat Green, Edwin McCain and Craig Campbell and played for audiences at the Charlotte Speed Street NASCAR Festival, the House of Blues, Billy Bob’s Texas, Chief’s Neon Steeple and The Tennessee State Fair Opry Stage. Trey embraces opportunities to help people and support charitable causes through music, including headlining The Hill Country Rally for Kids in Texas and Vet Fest Carolinas and participating in the Christmas 4 Kids Bus Show and Project K-9 Heroes Performers for Paws. Trey is beyond thrilled to be performing his first show at The Bluebird Cafe and looking forward to upcoming performances next month at Country for a Cause in support of Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and the Carolina Country Music Fest!
