Georgia born and bred pop-country artist Abigail Mae is here to make her mark. Capturing the crossover of confidence and vulnerability, this rising singer-songwriter’s music immediately, effortlessly recalls classics by Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Lainey Wilson. She’s the latest in a lineup of successful women who match sincerity with plenty of authentic sass.
For anyone who feels like they work hard but rarely see the payoff, take comfort in her single “Silver Spoon,” a track as relatable as it is catchy with its slight early 2000s edge. With the energy and familiarity of a friend catching up over drinks, Abigail uses the song to poke fun at the people we all know who have had it just a little too easy in life and never been forced to grow outside of their comfort zones.
“Music can make people feel anything,” Abigail says, noting that leading with kindness is paramount as her catalog of music continues to grow — even if she’s incredibly likely to sit down with her guitar and notebook to knock out a tune about keying a car and getting revenge on anyone who does her dirty.
At the end of the day, Abigail Mae is the down-home, family-oriented girl anyone would want on their team. Strap in for the long haul — she’s the ride or die type.
