Artists

Anne Buckle

When the Carter Family sang about a melancholy flower in the wildwood nearly one hundred years ago, little did they know that three generations later, another Carter songstress would personify its story. Anne Buckle is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Nashville, TN. Her lyrical story-telling and haunting melodies channel her Appalachian roots, creating a uniquely original dark indie-Americana sound. She’s been called “a refreshing take on a legendary family" by the Nashville Music Guide and can be found in Music City’s singer-songwriter circuit.

But who is she?

A Harvard graduate; former diplomat at the US Embassy in Paris; classically trained violinist with a master’s degree in arts education; self-taught on nearly a dozen other musical instruments; a Georgia native who now calls Music City home, who spent three years creating the Tennessee Promise program with Governor Haslam. But, this daughter of two school teachers left that life of stability behind, instead choosing to chase her dreams down an uncertain path - one full of doubt and heartbreak, freedom and possibility.

Her original songs have amassed over 4 million streams across platforms, and she has co-written songs recorded by other artists including American Idol’s David Archuleta and Lindy Boone, daughter of legendary crooner Pat Boone. As a fiddle player and vocalist, she has shared the stage with the late Charlie Daniels, toured with Augustana opening for The Chicks on their 2016 World Tour, and performed on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry. As a teaching artist, Anne works with hundreds of individuals and organizations annually to help them unleash their creativity through music.

Anne’s new album WILDWOOD is out on vinyl alongside her debut children’s book, Firefly, inspired by the eponymous song.

Caitlin Evanson

Caitlin Evanson is a classically trained violinist who has traveled the world playing violin and guitar and singing background vocals behind Multi-Grammy winning superstar Taylor Swift. With Swift's tours, Evanson performed nightly for tens of thousands of fans in sold-out stadiums and arenas around the globe, demonstrating her versatility as an artist and a performer with six instrument and four costume changes over the course of each two-hour show.

In her seven years with Swift, Caitlin has performed live for millions of television viewers around the globe, playing violin and singing background vocals on dozens of high-profile shows. She counts among her many television credits the Academy Awards, the Grammy Awards, the European Music Awards, the American Music Awards, the Country Music Association Awards, the MTV Video Music Awards, Saturday Night Live, 60 Minutes, Good Morning America, the Today Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Caitlin is a versatile vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who plays mandolin in addition to violin and rhythm electric and acoustic guitar. During her tenure with Swift, Caitlin has shared a stage with a number of high-profile artists, performing with Carly Simon, Stevie Nicks, James Taylor, Jennifer Lopez, John Mayer, Def Leppard, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Sara Bareilles, Nelly, T.I., and Selena Gomez, to name but a few.

Jerry Vandiver

Since making the move from Kansas City to Nashville in 1984, Jerry Vandiver has seen his songs recorded by such artists as Tim McGraw, Phil Vassar, Lonestar, Barbara Mandrell, Lee Greenwood and The Oak Ridge Boys to name a few.

He scored a Billboard Top 5 single on Gene Watson's "Don't Waste It On The Blues," a Top 20 on Wild Rose's "Go Down Swingin'," and #2 on Tim McGraw's "For A Little While." Thanks to these artists, Jerry has songs on over 15 million records, two of which are hanging on the walls of the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Jerry can be heard regularly at Nashville's world-renowned Bluebird Cafe, the Ford Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame's Songwriter Series and many other venues in Nashville and surrounding areas.

He is a frequent speaker at the Nashville Songwriters Association International's  Spring Training, Songposium and Song Camps as well as NSAI’s Thursday night workshops. Jerry co-authored the popular songwriting workbook, "Your First Cut, A Step-By-Step Guide To Getting There."  And he presents songwriting workshops throughout the U.S., Canada and Australia.

Phil Barton

Phil Barton is an Australian songwriter living in Nashville, TN. He had his first No. 1 with the Lee Brice smash, “A Woman Like You”. This song led to a Music Row Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year, and NSAI award for one of the coveted “Ten Songs I Wish I’d Written,” and has since been certified double platinum.

Along with his success in American Country Music, Phil has had eleven Top Ten singles in Canada with artists like Tim Hicks, Chad Brownlee, The Washboard Union, Jojo Mason, and Meghan Patrick.
