Artists

ERNEST

Nashville’s most unpredictable hitmaker ERNEST is “The Charmer” (MusicRow): a triple threat talent who “creates a sound all his own” (Pollstar) and one of Music City’s defining artist-writers who continues to push and challenge the artistic status quo. The 2X ACM Award nominee (2024), 2X CMA Triple Play Award winner, and 2022 / 2023 Variety Hitmaker fuses influences ranging from Eminem to George Jones, crafting a twist-heavy verse style that’s become his signature, proving its mettle, and earning him eleven No. 1 hits as a songwriter and one No. 1 at country radio himself. The eccentric free spirit just released his highly anticipated full-length sophomore album, NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE, a set that “maintain(s) Nashville’s tethering to its legendary history while wholly embracing the soul of the city’s future” (The Tennessean), featuring 26 new songs and collaborations with genre tastemakers Lainey Wilson, Lukas Nelson, Jelly Roll, HARDY, and more. The album has been shortlisted as one of the Best of the Year So Far by Billboard, The Tennessean, and Country Now, following in the footsteps of its critically acclaimed predecessor, FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM), and its cleverly-expanded deluxe edition, FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM): Two Dozen Roses, which added a baker’s dozen of fresh cuts to the bunch. ERNEST headlines this fall on the Legalize Country Music Roadshow before opening arenas for Jelly Roll through the end of the year.

Chandler Walters

Burgeoning writer and producer Chandler Walters picked up a guitar at nine years old and never looked back. By the time he was in high school, the Marietta, Ga. native was singing and playing lead guitar in a trio. After graduating high school Walters drew inspiration from artists like John Mayer, the Eagles, and various 70s and 80s rock bands and dove headfirst into a new lane to express himself – pedal steel guitar. Soon after learning the emotive instrument, Walters moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music and began touring, both as a solo act and a band player for other artists. While on the road, Walters showcased his skills on TikTok, racking up views and catching the eye of country trailblazer, ERNEST. After meeting in person, Walters joined the in-demand star’s band and eventually signed a publishing deal with ERNEST and Big Loud Publishing co-venture, ERN’s Cadillac Music. Quickly becoming a notable songwriter, Walters just earned his first country and all genre No. 1 single with the Post Malone / Morgan Wallen crossover mammoth “I Had Some Help,” counts six cuts on Post Malone’s culture-rocking country album F-1 Trillion, seven cuts on ERNEST’s critically-acclaimed sophomore album NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE, including Jelly Roll collaboration “I Went To College, He Went To Jail,” three cuts on Bailey Zimmerman’s record-breaking debut album Religiously, and many more. This fall, Walters joins Post Malone’s touring band, picking up his pedal steel again for the F-1 Trillion Tour, and continues to work on his own original music.

Rhys Rutherford

Raised on Tim McGraw, John Prine, Kris Kristofferson, and a mix of 60s and 70s rock, Rhys Rutherford pulls from wide-ranging influences, bringing a jukebox of inspiration with him to every writing room. Immersed in music from an early age, Rutherford’s father, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member Rivers Rutherford, instilled in him a heartbeat for creation. Rhys honored his hankering to dig deeper, starting a cover band with his friends and began songwriting. Down the road a few years and two semesters into his time at Ole Miss, music’s pull took over, moving him back home to Nashville to dive head first into writing full time. Rhys posted a video of himself covering “Feet Wanna Run” by family friend and rising country visionary ERNEST on social media and caught ERNEST’s attention, leading to a publishing deal with ERN’s Cadillac Music and Big Loud in March 2023. Since signing his publishing deal, Rutherford has quickly picked up steam, earning his first major label cut with Bailey Zimmerman’s “Is This Really Over?” from his record-breaking debut album Religiously.

Cody Lohden

On-the-rise singer/songwriter Cody Lohden is bursting onto the country scene as a lyrical force to be reckoned with. His heart for making music grew after picking up the guitar at age 12 and strengthened quickly, playing live shows with his father who instilled and encouraged his passion for the craft early on. After a TikTok video showing off his vocal chops blew up on Barstool Sports, the rising talent caught the attention of Music City tastemaker ERNEST. In 2022, Lohden released his music independently, left his job as a firefighter/paramedic and moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue his dream. He took his tunes on the road opening for in-demand artists like Bailey Zimmerman and Walker Hayes. Set for an even bigger 2023, Lohden started the year off strong, announced exclusively by Billboard as one of the flagship songwriters signed to ERN’s Cadillac Music, a publishing partnership with Big Loud. Lohden also celebrated his first major label cut with Bailey Zimmerman’s “Is This Really Over?” Building momentum, Lohden will be opening for ERNEST on his fall 2023 This Fire Tour.

Rafe Tenpenny

Rafe Tenpenny is a Nashville-born-and-raised songwriter, top-liner, and freestyle artist whose unique blend of pop and country sensibilities has made him a standout in Music City. Raised alongside his childhood friend ERNEST, Rafe’s love for both storytelling and melody was cultivated from an early age. His upbringing in a musically inclined family, along with a deep connection to the city’s creative scene, shaped his approach to songwriting and performing.

Known for his ability to seamlessly combine the emotional storytelling of country with the infectious hooks and melodies of pop, Rafe has become a go-to collaborator in Nashville. Rafe’s career began to gain serious momentum after he signed a publishing deal with ERNEST’s Cadillac Music, a joint venture with Big Loud. Since then, he’s penned songs for a variety of artists, including ERNEST (“Wild Wild West”), Mitchell Tenpenny, Seaforth, and Atlus. Rafe also contributed four tracks to ERNEST’s critically acclaimed album Nashville, Tennessee, (“Hangin’ On”, “Honkytonk Fairytale”, “Dollar To Cash”, “Summeritme Flies”) further solidifying his place in the songwriting community.

Rafe’s talent has also caught the attention of major artists, with songs currently on hold with Morgan Wallen and ERNEST, making him a rising force in the industry. In addition to his success as a songwriter, He tours alongside his brother, Mitchell Tenpenny, playing bass and sharing the stage with one of country music’s rising stars.
