Richard Carson Morton

Richard Carson Morton is a Nashville-based novelist and songwriter who was born in England but has lived in the U.S. for most of his life. In the 1970’s, he recorded an album with his group, Razmataz, for United Artists Records and got to hang out with John Lennon in the process. He spent time in Hollywood where he wrote and performed the theme song for Zazoo U, the first show ever aired on the Fox Children’s Network, and also worked as a script doctor..  He has also written music for the BBC in London. His classic children’s album, One Man’s Trash (is another man’s treasure) was re-released in 2018. The title song has been recorded and used in many school programs. He has played with John Sebastian of the Lovin’ Spoonful, John Hall of Orleans and John Prine. He apparently only hangs out and plays with musicians whose first name is John. That ends tonight as his bandmembers are Geno Haffner (keyboards), Ron Gomez (bass), Justin Amaral (drums), and Tamara (vocals).
