Brian Mackey
Singer-Songwriter Brian Mackey, voices what often goes unsaid with warmth and vulnerability that is reminiscent yet new. He's often been told his sound combines a healthy balance of Pop, Folk, Rock and Americana with an incredibly unique voice.
His new single, "My Only Friend” is the 2nd in a series of singles from his upcoming album "Good Morning Ireland" recorded at Sony Tree Studios Nashville, releasing next Spring. A writing project during 2019/20 with his friend Jeff King (Reba McEntire/Brooks & Dunn), sparked this track which was written in just a few minutes during soundcheck at the Bluebird Café.
To bring awareness to the opioid crisis and his son’s passing, Brian partnered with The Recording Academy’s charity MusiCares, with his previous single, “Saturday Night Sleeping” donating 100% of the proceeds.
During 2020 he wrote "Keep the World Alive," highlighting life amid the COVID19 pandemic, hitting 3M views on Facebook. Brian has toured with Kate Voegele + Tyler Hilton, Ron Pope, American Idol Winner Taylor Hicks, Jon McLaughlin and David Bromberg.
His music broke in Germany with “Are You Listening,” featured by gamer Gronkh with PlayStation 4 game Until Dawn. It became a runaway hit there, peaking at #8 on the AC Charts US, Top 25 iTunes, "100 Most Sold" Amazon, and resulted in sold out shows throughout the country.
