Briana Calhoun is an emerging country music artist known for her soulful voice and evocative songwriting. Drawing inspiration from her life experiences and musical influences, she crafts songs that connect deeply with her audience.
Not only is Calhoun quickly becoming a name to watch in the country music industry, her desire to give back is profoundly unique.
In 2010, Calhoun was convicted to five years in prison at a women’s state penitentiary in her home state of Louisiana. Because of a Louisiana’s overcrowded prisons, she only served 18 months.
Today Calhoun has dedicated her career to helping inmates navigate incarceration, find strength through self-determination and self- love, and discover Hope on the Inside™️ — no matter the circumstances. In 2024, Calhoun and business partner Kix Brooks, of Brooks and Dunn, founded a nonprofit to share incredible stories of triumph through stories and music. Other Nashville artists have begun to join this journey and Calhoun aims to expand the outreach community through various avenues of art and entertainment.
