Bryce Leatherwood won his middle school talent show when he was in seventh grade and continued performing publicly since. Leatherwood was born and raised in Hickory Flat, living off of East Cherokee Drive. He went to school at Hickory Flat Elementary School and Dean Rusk Middle School before graduating from Sequoyah in 2018.

Leatherwood left his hometown to attend Georgia Southern University. He graduated in May with a degree in business management, and still lives in Statesboro.
