Cedar Atlas is composed of four Minneapolis and New York-based songwriters who enjoy the playful spirit of creative collaboration paired with a deep love of classic folk and roots music. Jared Cavazos, Kata Fried, Patrick Irwin, and Zak Walker-Kahne all arrive in a musical meeting space from differing backgrounds in the arts; Their unique voices combine to create original music with an expansive range, emulating their unified desire to explore a vast musical terrain and muck about in the boundary lines of genre. Their songs carry a lot of heart, a little extraterrestrial encountering, and an ongoing desire to quit life in the city and retreat into the woods.
