Nashville-based singer-songwriter Jess Jocoy crafts what she calls “cul-de-sac country”—a cinematic blend of folk storytelling, country twang, and atmospheric Americana. Raised outside Seattle, Jocoy’s music has been praised by American Songwriter for its “mournful effervescence” and by No Depression for her “smooth blend of traditional country and folk sounds.”
Since releasing her acclaimed albums Such a Long Way (2020) and Let There Be No Despair (2022), Jocoy has earned growing recognition on both sides of the Atlantic. She was named Caffè Nero Artist of the Month with airplay in over 750 cafés across the UK, and has been featured on BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio Ulster, and NPR’s Mountain Stage with Kathy Mattea.
A frequent presence on the songwriter festival circuit, Jocoy has performed at AmericanaFest, the Island Hopper Songwriter Festival, Annapolis Songwriters Festival, Whitefish Songwriter Festival, Livingston Songwriter Festival, and multiple performances at Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Cafe.
Her third studio album, Cul-de-Sac Kid, released October 24, 2025. Expanding her signature storytelling, the album reflects on identity, belonging, and the beauty of life’s in-between places.
