Kate Bowen
Kate Bowen is a singer songwriter born and raised in Walhalla, SC. From her teens to 20s, she spent a decade writing and playing music in Nashville, including a record deal with Big Machine Records (then professionally known as Ella Mae Bowen) and a publishing deal with Warner Bros Music. She has written songs for artists in the US, Canada, and Spain, including a track on the Platinum Reba McEntire album “Love Somebody”, a number one song in Texas, and a Juno award-winning Canadian Country album. She won first place in the International Songwriters Competition in the Indie category. Kate’s music now hearkens back to her roots with a blend of Alternative and Americana sounds, as well as performances and stories of songs she’s written for other artists. After a long run in Nashville and a few years out West, she now again calls Upstate South Carolina home with her husband, fellow musician Zach Morse, and their two daughters.
