Lawson Harris

The Texas Country Music Scene continues to produce up and coming singers and songwriters, and Lawson Harris is no exception. Harris grew up just 40 miles north of Fort Worth, Texas in the small town of Decatur, where his love for country music began. Growing up just outside of the infamous “Cowtown”, Harris was surrounded by the rodeo lifestyle and country music, so he decided to do both!

After rodeoing for Weatherford College, Lawson moved to College Station, Texas and decided he wanted to pursue a musical career full-time. Within a short time in the Brazos Valley, he developed a strong following and began playing shows all around Texas, but he wanted more.

“Moving to Nashville has been a dream of mine since I first picked up a guitar,” Harris said. “That’s always been my goal." Lawson did just that, and moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 22. He began writing songs and playing with some of the industry’s best around Music City. “I am so blessed to be living out my dream in this town,” Harris said. Lawson’s story is a testament to hard work and following your dreams.

Lawson signed a publishing deal recently with Mucho Love Music in June of 2024.
