Molly Kruse

Molly Kruse is an up-and-coming singer, songwriter, and performer whose sound blends country and folk with soulful vocals and deeply personal storytelling. Before her music career drew her to Nashville, TN, Kruse grew up in another artists’ haven: pre-Silicon Valley Bay Area. A music-loving family assured she came of age listening to a plethora of artists spanning from Ray Charles to Crosby, Stills, and Nash to Mary Chapin Carpenter. Encouraged by her parents, she began vocal training at age twelve, later teaching herself guitar and performing at local gigs.

In 2012, Kruse moved to Los Angeles, working and writing songs with 6x Grammy winner, Glen Ballard (co-writer of Alanis Morissette’s 17x platinum album, Jagged Little Pill) and Oscar-nominated keyboardist, Randy Kerber, while playing as many shows as possible and further honing her sound.

During the pandemic, Kruse began a creative partnership with 8x #1 hit songwriter, Steve Seskin (Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, Alabama), writing copious songs with him and preparing to release her debut, full-length record. Kruse chose Andrija Tokic, best known for his Grammy-nominated production for Alabama Shakes’, to produce. Hiring a "who's who" of elite Nashville touring musicians such as "Little" Jack Lawrence, Billy Contreras, and Ellen Angelico, Kruse and Tokic recorded 9 songs over a week period in his shotgun house-turned-studio, The Bomb Shelter. Mixed by 2x Grammy-winner, Trina Shoemaker, the result is a bold and honest collection of songs that showcase rich instrumentation, emotional depth, and a clear sense of identity. Now based full-time in Nashville, Molly is ready to make her mark on her new city with her own distinctive flair.
