Morgan Spears
True to her faith and Texas honky-tonk roots, singer/ songwriter Morgan Spears, crafts a timeless sound as she makes her mark on the country music scene. This Texas native gratifies crowds with her poetic storyteller lyrics and true-root honkytonk twang. Morgan grew up in the small town of Merkel, TX singing in church and doing traditional country music in her family picker’s circle. She began her musical journey at age 12 when her Dad taught her how to play guitar. She soon began playing her own shows across the state.
At age 14, she won the Outlaws & Legends Songwriter Competition in Abilene, TX. In doing so, she earned the privilege of frequenting the Outlaws and Legends Music Festival, where legends such as Merle Haggard also graced the stage.
Morgan began attending South Plains College in Levelland, TX in 2016 to further her music education and graduated in 2019. In November of 2019, she was given the opportunity to open for Grand Ole Opry member, Lorrie Morgan. In August of 2021, Lorrie made Morgan an official member of her band. In doing so, Morgan was given the opportunity to accomplish her lifelong dream of playing the Grand Ole Opry stage at both the Ryman Auditorium and The Grand Ole Opry House where she continues to play alongside her legendary boss today.
She now resides in Nashville, TN with her husband continuing to write, play and record music while traveling the world with, opening for, and being mentored by Lorrie Morgan.
Her latest single entitled. “Pinocchios”. which was produced by Nashville legend Bobby Terry is out now on all platforms and is receiving rave reviews from critics and fans alike.
Morgan always brings out the best in a song…AND CONSISTENT APPLAUSE FROM HER AUDIENCES EVERYWHERE. Her love for Jesus, her family, people, storytelling and country music are her driving force in the pursuit of her career.
