Randy Hart
First and always a musician, Megatrax Custom Music’s Creative Service Director, Randy Hart has been involved in both the music and the business for over 30 years. Diverse musical bases have been covered by Randy – from performing with artists such as Iggy Pop, Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson – all of whom illustrate the genre extremes of a long list. Recording credits also include such variety – from the Allman Brothers ("Brothers Of The Road"/Arista) to soundtrack work on the David Lynch classic movie, “Eraserhead” and two Grammy® award winners – the legendary Roger Miller and Steve Wariner, most recently with a piano performance on the 2010 Grammy® winning (Best Country Instrumental) "Producer's Medley" by Wariner.
The business side has taken him to the helm of 2 multi-national music publishing companies – Famous Music and BMG Music Publishing, as VP of both of these publisher’s operations in their Nashville offices working with songwriter luminaries such as Steve Dorff (2018 Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee), Gary Burr (Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame), Victoria Shaw ("The River" - Garth Brooks) and Hugh Prestwood ("The Song Remembers When" - Trisha Yearwood).
His current position as CSD for Megatrax Custom (the custom division of Megatrax Production Music) utilizes a good mix of his experience based knowledge in both the music and the business in the music business.
