Rex Allen Jr.

The iconic singer, songwriter, narrator, entertainer and Western Music Hall of Fame star was born into entertainment royalty as the son of cowboy movie star and recording artist Rex Allen. Rex Allen Jr. established his own career with a string of country music hits, over 50 hits, including It’s Over, Lonely Street and Two Less Lonely People. That success led to Rex Allen Jr. expanding the outreach of country/western music, becoming the first performer ever allowed to sing on The Great Wall Of China. Allen further established himself globally in entertainment with starring roles on TNN on the shows, "Yesteryear" and "The Statler Brothers Show."

For the man Billboard Magazine once described as “the finest Voice in Country Music,” his work off stage work in the entertainment industry also shined in the spotlight. Allen’s songwriting talents were applauded when his adopted homeland of Arizona named his song, “I Love You, Arizona” as a state song. Allen has also written one of the most recorded western songs, "Ride Cowboy Ride." And following in his father’s footsteps as narrator for many Walt Disney productions,” Rex Allen Jr. narrated numerous commercials with his golden voice and major motion pictures as well, including the Jim Carrey movie, “Me, Myself and Irene” with the establishing line, “Meet Charlie…”

Rex Allen Jr. has not only been awarded with induction into the Western Music Hall of Fame, but also the Arizona Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame, the Twentieth Annual Ernest Tubb Memorial Award, honors from the Western Film Preservation Society, North American Country Music Association International Hall of Fame induction and an Academy of Western Artists award.
