Country newcomer Tony Evans Jr. is making a name for himself in Nashville as a prolific songwriter and a captivating vocalist. Featured on Rissi Palmer’s “Color Me Country Class of 2022” list, the singer-songwriter and self-taught guitar player commands with powerful story songs and intricate guitar picking. “I want everything I do to feel intimate,” the Georgia native says. “If I don’t feel it, there’s no way I can make you feel it.”

It seems to be working. Sounds Like Nashville praised Evans as an “up-and-coming singer with a classic country voice” while Wrangler observed he’s “making waves and gaining fans with his blend on the traditional country style and the energy of a young artist.” Evans has been working with renowned producer and A&R executive Ron Fair and hit songwriter Fred Wilhelm on new music. He estimates he’s written hundreds of songs since he first picked up guitar at age 12.
