Tony Evans Jr.

Country newcomer Tony Evans Jr. is making a name for himself in Nashville as a prolific songwriter and a captivating vocalist. Featured on Rissi Palmer’s “Color Me Country Class of 2022” list, the singer-songwriter and self-taught guitar player commands with powerful story songs and intricate guitar picking. “I want everything I do to feel intimate,” the Georgia native says. “If I don’t feel it, there’s no way I can make you feel it.”

It seems to be working. Sounds Like Nashville praised Evans as an “up-and-coming singer with a classic country voice” while Wrangler observed he’s “making waves and gaining fans with his blend on the traditional country style and the energy of a young artist.” Evans has been working with renowned producer and A&R executive Ron Fair and hit songwriter Fred Wilhelm on new music. He estimates he’s written hundreds of songs since he first picked up guitar at age 12. Now 24, Evans is creating his own brand of country music that blends his influence of George Strait for a sound that is 100% Tony Evans Jr. “I’m writing the music that I’ve always wanted to write,” he says, “but the way I do it is different, and I hope listeners feel my intent through the songs.”
