Leslie Satcher

Leslie Satcher is a fifth generation Texan. The daughter of a strong hearted single mother and grand daughter of cotton sharecroppers and pioneers, she is no stranger to hard work and perseverance. Born in 1962 where the Chisolm Trail and the Red River cross, Leslie grew up singing in the churches and schools of Paris, Texas along side her baby sister Jeannie Winn.
In 1989, during a short trip to Nashville, a friend prompted Leslie to record her voice over the tracks of country standards at The Barbara Mandrell Museum. That was all it took! Just four weeks later she was crossing her beloved Red River in a $1,000 Chevrolet dragging a U-Haul trailer with an ironing board strapped to the back. If her story sounds like the beginning of a country song, it was. After several "day jobs" in "Music City", Leslie's talent as a songwriter was recognized by a friend from church, Guy Penrod of the Gaither Vocal Band, who encouraged her to show her work to friends Larry Strickland and Naomi Judd. It was Naomi who helped her hone her skills into a more commercial form and then introduced her to guitarist Don Potter who was starting a new publishing company. The company never came about, but the prospect of writing for a living blossomed for Leslie. After a Sunday night show at the world famous Bluebird Café, Leslie teamed with accomplished father and son songwriters Max D. and Max T. Barnes. A writing contract with the then new publishing company Island Bound Music ensued.

Seven years of cuts by artists such as Joe Diffie, Sara Evans, Lee Ann Womack, Wade Hayes, Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, Pam Tillis, and Willie Nelson helped Leslie take the next step in her career. Jim Ed Norman of Warner Brothers Records Nashville saw something in the talent from Texas and gave her the chance to record her first project "Love Letters". Leslie and her dear friend, producer Luke Wooten, turned in a critically acclaimed album that established her as one of the leading singer/songwriters in the country music industry today. Currently, Leslie is focusing on her second album as well as continuing to pen songs for other artists as a staff writer for Sony Tree ATV.

Leslie performs all over the United States and is often found doing benefits with friends Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Paul Overstreet and others. In 2003 Leslie met the love her life, David Allen of Longview, Texas, while appearing at the annual benefit for the East Texas Angel Network founded by two-time Entertainer of the Year Neal McCoy. With David pursuing an acting career, the two artists stay busy between family and friends in Texas and Australia, going to church, and enjoying time together at home and the beach.

Longtime hero Willie Nelson wrote Leslie's heart when he put down the words "...on the road again..." for that truly is where this Texas singer/songwriter loves to be. Meeting the people who find something of meaning in the songs Leslie Satcher believes are nothing short of gifts from God.

Kent Blazy

Kent Blazy, growing up in Lexington, KY, became musically inspired when he heard Roger McGuinn playing his Rickenbacker guitar on "Mr. Tamborine Man."  This created a new choice and Kent traded in his baseball glove for a guitar.
He began his musical journey with a series of bands all over the eastern half of the country.  By the mid-70's, Kent was band leader, playing guitar and touring with Canadian legend, Ian Tyson.  Sound advice and the timely first place win in a national songwriter contest persuaded him to move to Nashville in 1980.  Kent's commitment was not to focus his efforts at the craft of songwriting.  It was a very fine decision.

In 1982, sooner than expected, Gary Morris took "Headed For A Heartache" to #5 on the Charts.  In the years that followed other artists, such as The Forrester Sisters, T. Graham Brown, Donna Fargo and Moe Bandy recorded Kent's tunes.  In an effort to develop more knowledge of the recording side of music and for the benefits of a "day job," Kent opened a home recording studio.  The studio offered an option for Kent's demos as well as a demo service to other writers.  This studio introduced Kent to some of the new demo singers and songwriters of Nashville; names like Randy Travis, Billy Dean, Trisha Yearwood, Joe Diffie and Martina McBride, now well-known country artists.

In 1987, Kent was introduced to a new demo singer by Bob Doyle, then with ASCAP, soon to be the manager for this emerging talent, Garth Brooks.  Garth became Kent's most requested demo singer and Bob Doyle also advised, "Garth writes a little bit too."  The first song Garth and Kent penned together was "If Tomorrow Never Comes," which became the first #1 for both.  The friendship and writing partnership continued as Garth included 8 more of their songs on his albums.  Four more captured the #1 slot:  "Somewhere Other Than The Night," "Ain't Goin' Down ('Til the Sun Comes Up)," "It's Midnight Cinderella," and "She's Gonna Make It."

Garth's album, "The Lost Sessions," includes another Kent and Garth song, "For a Minute There," written for their fathers. Kent and fellow songwriter Pat Alger co-produced a album titled In The Beginning:  A Songwriter's Tribute to Garth Brooks. This project is a collective of 6 other songwriters who composed songs on Garth's first two albums.  The focus was to present the songs in the original acoustic and authentic sound form as Garth first heard them.  The album was originally planned as a gift to Garth during his 100 million party in 2000.  An independent recording label saw the potential and released the album in 2001, resulting in 50,000+ copies sold to date.

An added benefit of the album included a tour in Ireland for Kent and 3 other Garth writers.  In Ireland, Kent discovered that "If Tomorrow Never Comes" was released in Europe, Japan, Australia and The United Kingdom by an Irish artist, Ronan Keating.  His recording became a successful #1 song in many countries.  Kent's songwriter continues with established writing partnerships, as well as developing partnerships with new writers and artists.  Many of his crafted works continue to be recorded by artists such as Kenny Chesney, Diamond Rio, Terri Clark, Clay Walker, Patty Loveless, Julie Roberts, Andy Griggs, and Blaine Larsen.  Kent's latest #1 hit "Gettin' Your Home (The Black Dress Song)" was recorded by Chris Young.

Danny Myrick

A little bit muddy water Mississippi, a little bit California beach bum, Danny grew up playing, singing and writing for his family gospel band while being consumed with 70’s FM radio. He achieved his first #1 gospel song as a writer at age 17 before moving to Nashville and spending the 90’s singing lead in country rock band, Western Flyer. After Western Flyer disbanded, Danny’s vocal talent lead to singing 100’s of songwriter demos as well as adding background vocals to numerous albums by the likes of Blake Shelton, Montgomery Gentry and Keith Anderson before focusing on his passion for writing songs. As a writer, Danny’s musical diversity has lead to cuts by artists ranging from Tim McGraw to Joe Cocker and he has celebrated numerous hit songs, including Craig Morgan’s “International Harvester” Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah” and 2009’s most played country song, “She’s Country” by Jason Aldean. In addition to Billboard Top 5 song “I Love This Life” with LoCash, Danny is enjoying success with Old Southern Moonshine Revival, Maddie & Tae, Gloriana and Dean Alexander.
