Artists

Sally Barris

Sally Barris is a Nashville based performing songwriter who has had songs covered by such top-level artists as Kathy Mattea, Martina McBride, and Lee Ann Womack. Her song “Let The Wind Chase You”, recorded by Trisha Yearwood and Keith Urban, received a Grammy nomination for vocal collaboration in 2009. While her writing credits mightily impress, fans and peers are most captivated by her bright spirit and expressive mountain soprano.  Dirty Linen says “Barris knows how to write lyrics that are as forthright as a stream of clear water and how to support them with melodies that share that quality”. The Minnesota native has performed Mountain Stage,  New Bedford Summer Fest, Wildflower Arts & Music Festival and The Kerrville Folk Festival. In 2021, Sally released her new cd “Grasshopper Mile”.

Templeton Thompson

You can find her songs on million-selling CD's from country superstars Reba McEntire, Jo Dee Messina and Little Texas. Her song, “Settle Down Cinderella” is featured in the 20th Century Fox Motion Picture, “Dr. Doolittle 3.” Her song, Happy Yee-halidays is featured in the Lifetime Christmas movie "Every Other Holiday".

Even fellow recording artist Clay Walker is a fan, “A vulnerable, yet believable voice this pure needs to be heard on the radio. Templeton is one of the TRUE undiscovered talents.” Music Row Magazine's Robert K. Oermann says"Templeton Thompson, love the name. It sounds like the moniker of a star. And, happily, her zesty vocal sounds star-like, too... The catches and breaks in her soprano are as ear-catching as the lilting melody.”

Templeton is a Nashville's session vocalist having sung countless demos as well as background vocals for major label artists. She has performed on stage for audiences across the US, in Europe and in Japan.

Her love for horses along with her passion for music has made Templeton a favorite at major horse expos as well as National and International horse events. Templeton's horse, "Jane" also achieved celebrity status when Breyer- maker of collectable model horses- created a model of "Jane" which was packaged with Templeton's music and sold nationwide. If you asked her, Templeton would tell you she feels like that’s her “Grammy” in the horse world!

With several CDs to her credit, Templeton maintains a busy touring and promotional schedule.

Sam Gay

Sam Gay began his music career in Memphis, Tennessee as a member of a hard-working young cover band. He became interested in the recording process after the band's first recording session at Ardent Recording Studios. Soon after, Sam began acquiring whatever recording equipment he could afford and turning his parents' living room into a recording studio/rehearsal hall. Eventually, he was tapped to produce several independent record projects – one of which, landed on the Billboard Hot 100 Country chart.

In 1989, he moved to Nashville. He was signed as a staff songwriter at the Acuff-Rose Publishing company where he wrote "Me And The Moon" which was recorded by Bryan White on Bryan's million-selling debut album. Sam has also been a staff writer at Hamstein Music Group, Bluewater Music, Edisto Music, and Corlew Music Group/Windswept Pacific Music. His songs have been recorded by Little Texas, Montgomery Gentry, Bryan White, Johnny Rodriguez, Ricky Van Shelton, Bonnie Bramlett and others. His song “Take The Wheel” was a top-10 single for Canadian artist Deric Ruttan. Recording song demos gave Sam the opportunity to work with Nashville's very best session players and engineers in world-class recording studios and to further hone his production skills. He is the long-time producer/co-writer and sideman for Templeton Thompson.

Sam's musical compositions and recordings have been used in numerous television programs and commercials. He composed and recorded musical cues for the DVD series “7 Clinics with Buck Brannaman”. Recently, Sam composed and recorded original music for the documentary “Dogs On The Inside”.

Don Henry

Grammy Award winner Don Henry's songs have been recorded by legends like:
Ray Charles, Patti Page and Conway Twitty
By country crooners like:
Gene Watson, John Conlee and B.J. Thomas
By young hit makers of today like:
Blake Shelton, Lonestar and Miranda Lambert ….
.....and the list goes on.

And he’s shared the stage with performers as diverse as Joey Ramone to Keith Urban.

The wit and wisdom of Don's songs are widely renowned whether it's campfire favorites, the hilarious "B.F.D." and biker lullaby "Harley", to the wonderfully poignant tribute to Martin Luther King "Beautiful Fool", and of course his Grammy Award winning country classic "Where've You Been".

In addition to a Grammy, Kathy Mattea's version of "Where've You Been" won Don (and co-writer Jon Vezner) song of the year honors from ACM (Academy of Country Music), CMA (Country Music Association) and NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International). "Where've You Been" was the first song in country music history to be awarded all four honors in the same year!
